Double Platinum
Denso is the pioneer in introducing platinum spark plugs to the automotive aftermarket, but has hardly been content to rest on that achievement. Conventional platinum plugs use platinum for only the center electrode, while the DENSO Double Platinum plug features platinum on both the center and ground electrodes. Iridium Long Life
The Iridium Long Life plug is fast becoming the standard for today's high-tech engines. Properties of Denso’s patented Iridium alloy have broken through the spark plug technology barrier. Employing a revolutionary new 360° laser-welding process, Denso has created a spark plug unlike anything on the market today. Designed for durability under the most extreme conditions, Denso’s patented Iridium alloy is six times harder and eight times stronger than conventional Platinum and can handle temperatures in excess of 4,000°F.
Denso’s patented Iridium alloy is more durable than even Platinum, allowing the center electrode to be shrunk to only 0.7 mm in diameter. This produces a dramatic improvement in ignitability and spark plug life. Denso’s Iridium Long Life spark plug is standard equipment with a number of automakers including GM, Toyota, Honda, and Mitsubishi.

Original U-Groove
Denso’s patented U-Groove spark plug enables complete combustion by allowing the spark to fill the gap created by the U shape. The ball of fire created in the U-Groove develops a larger and hotter flash front that virtually eliminates excessive fouling and erratic starts caused by poor fuel mixtures.
Even Denso’s "standard" spark plug is something special. The innovative design that helped to make Denso spark plugs famous, the U-Groove plug employs a unique, channeled ground electrode designed to generate a larger spark nucleus at the point of ignition. Greater spark energy than ordinary plugs means improved flame travel, producing more complete, consistent, and efficient combustion.
